Lethbridge, Alberta. TDI. '04 ALH Golf. Mar 7, 2016. #9. The ECU case is internally connected to the ground wire in the harness. Since grounding the ECU makes things work it tells me you have a missing ground. Check the entire length of the harness and ground any brown wires you find that are not connected to anything.

Agreed on saving for a faster car. I have an 06 1.6 Polo. Besides cosmetics - and removing the air filter restricter, that engine will stay as it is. Ask Echo03 on this forum just how much software and a freflow makes a difference. With regards to the decat - I may remove mine, too. It's like R150 or so at some places.
\n how to make a 1.9 tdi faster
The 1.9 is slightly more economical, the 2.0 is quicker revving, smoother, faster, quieter. The 1.9 only has a 5 speed box though. The 2.0 doesn't pull quite as well from low revs (the 1.9 is like a tank) but is less peaky. Given the choice I took the 2.0TDI and I don't regret it at all.
You see, the high-performance components that make up this valve are specially designed to reduce turbo lag and spool, and eliminate boost leaks that are often present in the OEM plastic factory valves. >>Join the conversation about cheap performance mods for the B8 right here at AudiWorld Forum! There are so many options it can make your head spin! If I were you I would check out tdiclub.com and read, read, read! It depends on what your goal is to what setup you want. My goal is over 200hp. I'm installing a vnt20 with stage II R520 nozzles and a lot more! Let me know if you have anymore questions. Good luck! Eric
The basis of the project is BorgWarner twin-turbo diesel Saab 9-3 TTiD that is remapped from 180 hp to incredible 260 hp ! Many Saab TiD and TTID owners have remapped their diesel engines and boast of more power, better economy and unchanged reliability. But mostly, this engine is re-mapped to approximately 210 hp – 500Nm (Stage 1).

Skoda Superb 3T5 CFFB. May 8, 2009. #16. Please, like always in such discussions, dont forget the rev numbers according to max. safe boost level. With the stock VB you can make 1.85bar (27PSI) up to about 3500revs without exceeding the flow capability of compressor. Then you should reduce boost stepwise interpolation with revving higher, like 1
im planning on putting a 1.9 tdi in self designed chassis for some racing. But I want to be able to do my own mapping of the engine. So I'm looking for a stand alone management system to run the 1.9 tdi.

Coolant temp sensor is ~$10. Fuel temp sensor ~$22. I would replace the coolant temp sensor 1stMUCH less of a fubar factor.
Skoda Roomster (2006-2015) 1.9 TDI (PD) High fuel consumption : (. Hi, Just bought a Skoda Roomster 1.9tdi. The fuel consumption is very high. I drive like Miss Daisy and still the consumption is 6,5/litres per 100km (about 36mpg). The service was made by the dealership and the airfilter was changed.
1: Add Nitrous Oxide. If you're looking for a way to reduce turbo lag that's akin to magic, look no further than nitrous oxide. Since a shot of nitrous makes cylinder pressures go crazy, that same They didnt make enough meat on the block where the head bolts go. Eventually turbo or not it will crack the block. I replaced my 1.6 early to a 1.9 german engine. What a difference. without the adenoid it is faster than the other engine. Also the same mileage. Pulls hills faster. More drivable. No turbo lag with the TDI turbo. Yz36N.
