As for other parts of the XF 14mm f2.8 R lens, like the other XF lenses, there is a focus ring. The focus ring is pretty cool too. If you want to focus manually, you simply pull the focus ring back towards the rear element. A distant scale is then revealed, which you can use with the depth of field scale. The focus ring is nice and smooth as well.
