I’ve been following this thread with interest. I don’t drive a Cactus, but my ‘65 Grand C4 Picasso has the same problem. Citroen initially offered to pay 25% of the £1377.59 cost for a new Ad-Blue tank. After emailing the CEO of Citroen that has now been increased to 67%. I’m not sure where they pluck their numbers from. I have had a reply from Citroen today offering 70% off parts covering the tank but not the injector. Still waiting on Stoneacres of Wrexham to get back to me with full cost but don’t know if it’s worth pursuing for more or if this will be the final offer. Is there any further actions that could be taken. I have a 2016 C4 Cactus on 44,000 miles.

Hi, I’ve just found this site, having wasted hours and hours searching for possible links to Citroen and AdBlue tanks and hours and hours waiting for the phone to Citroen to answer, and then to get nowhere…..My C4 Spacetourer top of range diesel automatic, was about 6 months old when the light came on to top up Ad blue, which was done….this happened another twice in 2021…..in December
Adding a 1.5L bottle is not enough. You need to add ~5L. The best way of doing it is to add a whole 10L container. (only £10- £12). The warning light should clear without needing to do anything, although it may take a day or two. The capacity of the tank is ~17L, and it lasts 10,000-12,000 miles, so your 1.5L would only last about 1000 miles.
Ethically Citroen should do a recall on all pre-2019 cactus and replace the tanks FOC, it's a known issue to them. Or at the very least have it that once the car registers the fault to cover replacement if they don't want to replace ones that haven't failed yet.
